ome of you will have noticed changes to how we deliver our rating opinions. After an eventful two years for corporate borrowers – and rating agencies - Fitch remains committed to Clear Thinking in its rating actions, and in the timely, transparent research that backs them.
This page shows some of the ways we are meeting these commitments. The first is enhanced Credit Update reports for European and Asian issuers, which for the first time reveal the internally-generated forecasts on which our ratings are based, and a snapshot peer comparison for every issuer. Examples of these reports are available on this page, which will be available for three months. For a fuller corporate coverage list, follow this link to over 2,000 entities on our public web-site.
We are also rolling out new ‘Sector Credit Factors’ criteria reports that highlight the specific considerations – operational and financial – we apply when rating companies in different subsectors. These changes come in addition to new ways of delivering our content, such as rating round-up e-letters, topical podcasts and videos of our investor conferences.
None of this should, however, detract from what we still consider an absolutely vital source of dialogue with our investor base – direct access to our analysts. If you would like to find out anything more about our views or what we do, relevant analytical contacts can be found on the front page of every report – so please pick up the phone.
